韩中赞助学生去美国耶鲁大学冠军赛 Han Chiang To The States: Sponsorships & Support

韩江中学一直以来都以“素质教育培育素质学生”为办学方针的目标。在董家教及校友会齐心协力，韩江中学在学术上经常支持与推动学生，让他们成为精英中的精英。

日前，在曼谷举行的世界学者杯国际赛，韩江中学高初中学生们共取得了94枚金牌、51枚银牌及11个大奖凯旋而归。加上在世界学者杯区域赛中获得130枚金牌、90枚银牌、18项大奖，韩江中学总共荣获224枚金牌、141枚银牌及29项大奖，并挺进年底将在美国耶鲁大学举行的全球精英赛。

有鉴于高中学生JSE11的杨顺明、SE11的谢宇淇和C13的潘威升组成的团队在世界学者杯曼谷国际赛中获得了团队挑战赛冠军、团队写作第十名和全场团队总冠军第四名，表现出色又优异。韩江学校董事会将资助3名高中学生前往美国耶鲁大学参加将于11月举行的世界学者杯冠军赛。

韩中三位学生都非常感激与感谢韩江学校董事会的赞助，因为学校给了他们难得的机会远赴美国耶鲁大学参加国际冠军赛。杨顺明欣喜地表示他的努力和奋斗终于得到成果，并获得了家长、老师和学校的认可。宇淇同学表示，由于经济负担，如果没有学校的帮助，能够参与世界学者杯冠军赛的机率就微乎其微。因此，他们三人表示非常感恩，并确认学校的赞助会推动他们不断地前进，不断地突破自己的极限。

除此之外，三名学生对冠军赛寄予厚望和目标。毕竟，俗语说要向月亮射击，向星星伸出手。随着赞助商的确定，这三名学生就已经开始了比赛的准备工作。杨顺明、谢宇淇和潘威升同学已经开始温习World Scholar’s Cup的教学大纲，并恢复辩论练习，为比赛做好充分准备。通过他们的努力，他们希望再次胜利归来, 再次把冠军抱握在手掌里。

根据三位 – 杨顺明、谢宇淇和潘威升 – 世界学者杯最吸引的部分是它的国际社区。在这个比赛，三人能够建立网络并与来自世界各地的其他学生建立友谊关系与保持联系。 潘威升认为这个社区是世界学者杯的众多独家组成部分之一，因为这样一个专门的社区并不常见。他们感到很荣欣能够在世界学者杯代表学校，也代表国家。杨顺明、谢宇淇和潘威升三人再次感谢韩江中学的善心，因为在学校的帮助下才能够参加这场冠军赛，让他们享受到这种独特的体验。

毫无疑问，在学校的赞助与资助下，三人将在11月的冠军赛中发挥出最好、最优秀的水平。

Han Chiang High School has always had its priorities set on supporting and pushing its brightest students as they promote quality education to produce quality students, and this has been proven to be undoubtedly true.

The school will be helping 3 students reach for the sky in Yale University of the United States of America. After thoughtful consideration, Han Chiang High School will be sponsoring one team of students to participate in the Tournament of Champions, which will be held in November.

The team – consisting of Yeoh Soon Meng of JSE11, Estelle Sia Yu Qi of SE11, and Samuel Phun Wei Xen of C13 – performed exceptionally well in the World Scholar’s Cup Bangkok Global Round, earning them the generous sponsorships from the school. In Bangkok, they placed as the 1st Champion in Team Challenge, 10th Champion in Team Writing, and 4th Overall Champion Team.

All 3 students are extremely grateful to the school for their generosity, as it gives them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a global competition set in a prestigious university. They are very thankful for the school’s support. Yeoh Soon Meng states that he felt his efforts and hard work have finally been acknowledged by the school, which further drives him to keep moving forward and pushing himself past his limits. Estelle Sia also expresses that had it not been for the school’s help, the possibility of such an opportunity would be slim to none due to the financial burden.

Furthermore, the three students have high hopes and goals for the Tournament of Champions. After all, they say to shoot for the moon and reach for the stars. With the confirmation of their sponsorships, the team of three has already resumed their preparations for the competition. Soon Meng, Estelle, and Samuel have continued their in-depth study of the World Scholar’s Cup syllabus, and resumed debate practices to fully prepare themselves for the competition. Through their efforts, they hope to return victorious once again.

According to them – Soon Meng, Estelle, and Samuel – the best part of the World Scholar’s Cup is the international community surrounding it, where the three are able to build networks and form connections with other students from all over the globe. Samuel finds that this community is one of the many exclusive components of the World Scholar’s Cup, as such a dedicated community is not common. The team feels very honoured and surreal to be able to represent both Han Chiang High School and their country in such an outstanding competition. Once again, the three students are thankful for being able to partake in this competition with the help of the school, allowing them to enjoy this unique experience.

Without a doubt, thanks to the help of the school, the three will perform their very best at the Tournament of Champions in November, and will hopefully return triumphed.
