高中一参与STEM 4.0 讲座 电脑科学和工程业技术拓展4.0时代
From 9:00 am to 10:00 am, at Lim Lean Teng Hall, the students of Han Chiang High School’s IGCSE Senior One participated in an hour-long STEM 4.0 lecture. At 9:05 in the morning, students entered the auditorium one after another and took their seats. After a few speeches, the principal of the school, Madam Kung Bee Lee, gave a memorable speech and expressed her thankfulness on behalf of the school towards the lecturers.
Mr. Richard, the keynote speaker from the Penang Math Platform was presented a certificate of appreciation as a token of gratitude. Penang Mathematics Platform (PMP) is one of Penang’s STEM learning centers, mainly focusing on the subject of mathematics; aiming to provide the 21st century curriculum to cultivate, stimulate and invoke interest in STEM learning for young teenagers in order for them to prepare for their future careers in the current state of Industry Revolution 4.0. This lecture allowed students to have a bigger understanding on the significance of computer science and engineering in the upcoming 4.0 era.
Penang STEM Learning Center are mainly divided into 5 platforms – Mathematics Platform (PMP), Tech Dome, Penang Digital Library, Penang Skills Development Center (Penang Skills Development Centre) and the Penang Science Cluster. He sincerely hope for students to be able to have a clearer view of their paths and provide them guidance for the new generation through his educational lectures. Mr. Richard introduced the platform to hold free related courses in Han Chiang High School, and invitation of professional consultants that are specialised in the department of STEM to teach. In return of the golden opportunity, only 25 students could be accepted.
Furthermore, there are a total of 250 schools in Penang, but only 15 schools have been selected and Han Chiang High School is the only independent high school amongst the rest that are participating, which is an opportunity that should not be missed. Additionally, added that in the past, the two courses could only be chosen in university, however for the sake of our generation, the students of Han Chiang High School could learn the course sooner, making it easier for students to master various fields and offering students a clear secured and guaranteed future ahead.
于上午9点至10点，位于林连登堂，本校IGCSE高中一的学生们参加了长达1个小时的STEM 4.0 讲座。早上9点05分，学生陆陆续续进入了礼堂就座，本校校长江美利硕士演讲了几句后，并代表学校为来自槟城数学平台(Penang Math Platform)的主讲人Mr Richard 颁发奖状，以示感谢。槟城数学平台(PMP)是槟城 STEM 学习中心之一，主要专注于数学方面的思考，旨在提供 21世纪的课程和培训，以培养、激发和激发对 STEM 的兴趣，让年轻人在进入第四次工业革命时为明天的工作做好准备。此次讲座是为了让我们能够了解电脑科学以及工程业对未来4.0时代的重要。槟城STEM学习中心主要分为5个线下平台——数学平台(PMP)、圆顶科学馆(Tech Dome)、槟城数码图书馆(Penang Digital Library)、槟城技术发展中心(Penang Skills Development Centre)以及槟城科学集群(Penang Science Cluster) 。他希望能够通过讲座的方式让学生了解并给予他们新的未来。Mr Richard 表示，此平台将会在本校举办费用全免的相关课程，并会邀请专读这门科系的大学生前来教导，仅收25为学生。他还表示，槟城全市总共有250间学校，此平台只从中选出了15间学校，韩江中学则是唯一一所被选取的独立中学，是千载难逢的好机会。主讲人还进行补充道，这两门课程在以前只能在大学选科的时候才能选，而这次能够提早让本校学生学习这门课程，也能更容易掌握在各科领域上，给予学生一个保证的未来。
