荣获第六届李子松杰出行政人员奖 江美利校长：引导学生与世界接轨
于2022年9月28日，由吴德芳基金及新纪元大学学院联办的“2022年第七届吴德芳杰出中文教师奖”在吉隆坡洗都银星宴会厅举行了颁奖典礼，以“万世师表，尊师重道”的主题来表彰8名教育工作者及华教运动推动者精神之人。本校校长江美利硕士于此荣获2022年第六届李子松杰出行政人员奖。
江美利校长欢喜地表示，在教育界辛勤服务了26年，并于1996年她加入了韩江中学这个大家庭。在马来西亚要创办华文教育，是个实属不易的事情。要守住自身民族教育，更需要各方的团结，相互的配合及坚定的意志才能将华文教育发扬光大。韩江中学是一所优质的华文学校，有幸本校创办人林连登翁对华文教育所作出的贡献，在此韩江中学的教育才能蓬勃发展。
身为校长，她必须积极落实对与韩江中学的办学宏愿和方针，推行“素质教育，培育素质人才”的办学理念，发挥华文独中的特色，并且引导学生与世界接轨。
自从2006年开始，每隔5年她都会拟定学校的中短起期的计划，提交给董事会并获得支持后，便可落实。教师是一份专业的教育工作，必须善用知识，才得以带动学生的成长。
今年51岁的江美利校长，还有9年的时间离休，平日里的教育工作固然辛苦，但到现在她依旧拼尽所能地扮演者好校长的角色。她认为，每个孩子都能成才，都归功于教育，而身为校长，也要努力带领学校更上一层楼。
她表扬到韩江中学的学生，于2019年成功代表我国到美国休斯顿参与世界乐高联盟机械人比赛，并成功荣获世界冠军，不仅为校争光，也成功地让马来西亚的国旗飘扬在其他国家。本校的英语辩论队于2019年远赴美国耶鲁大学参加世界学者杯精英赛，并成功荣获佳绩凯旋归来，为国争光。此外，她也借此机会特别表彰本校的华语辩论队在全槟独中华语辩论赛中荣获冠军。
江美利校长非常感恩本校的董事部执行顾问丹斯里拿督斯里陈国平局绅，及本校董事长拿督斯里黄赐兴先生的信任、认同及肯给予自己机会推展韩江中学的教育理念。
她坦言教育多年以来，归功于韩江三校董事会、家教协会、校友会、全体职员及家长与学生们给予自己无限的支持与配合，让自己在教育的路上充满正能量，应付种种挑战。同样，她也非常感谢家人对自己的关怀和爱护。
江美利校长再次感恩大会给予本校行政团队的鼓励和肯定，并让韩中教职员团队在办学的路上精益求精，把本校的教育扎根本土，迈向世界。
On September 28th, 2022, the 2022 7th Ng Teck Fong Chinese Language Teacher Excellent Award, jointly organized by the Ng Teck Fong Foundation and New Era University College was held at the Galaxy Banquet Hall in Kuala Lumpur. The theme of the event is to honor the educators that have greatly contributed in promoting Chinese education. The principal of Han Chiang High School, Madam Kung Bee Lee, won the Li Zi Song 6th Outstanding Administrator Award in the Private Secondary School category, in the 7th Ng Teck Fong Chinese Language Teacher Excellent Award.
Principal Kung Bee Lee has spent 26 hardworking years in the educational field, joining Han Chiang High School in 1996. Stating that it is not an easy feat to establish good Chinese education in Malaysia, the principal pointed out that in order to maintain quality Chinese education, the unity of all parties involved, mutual cooperation and efforts are vital. Founded by the founder of the school, Mr Lim Lean Teng, who has offered incredible contribution to help improve Chinese education in Malaysia, Principal Kung Bee Lee expresses that Han Chiang High School is a school of high-quality standards, allowing his legacy to continue flourishing in the name of Han Chiang High School.
As the principal, Madam Kung Bee Lee discloses that active implementation of Han Chiang High School’s visions and policies, as well as the concept of “quality education cultivates quality talents” serve as the backbone of independent Chinese schools, guiding students to connect with the world. For every 5 years since 2006, she will draw up the school’s short- and long-term plans, in order to gain support from the board of directors, granting her the ability to implement her plans for further improvement to the school. To her, being a teacher is an important and professional job, and it is a teacher’s responsibility to make the best use of his or her knowledge and skill in order to advance the growth of students. Despite being plagued with endless hard work on weekdays, she still tries her best to play the role of a good principal, believing that every student can be outstanding with proper education.
Principal Kung Bee Lee praises her students for victoriously representing Malaysia in competitions worldwide, in which she actively encourages her students to participate in. Han Chiang High School’s Robotics Club won the 2019 World Lego League Robot Competition USA in Houston USA; not only winning glory for the school, but also proudly flying the Malaysian flag in glory. She also mentions that the school’s English debating team won the World Scholars’ Cup Elite Competition at Yale University in the United States in 2019, adding to the already rich glory of Han Chiang High School. In addition, she also took this opportunity to congratulate the school’s Chinese debate team for winning the championship in the Penang Independence Chinese Debate Competition. Principal Kung Bee Lee pointed out that Han Chiang High School has students from 15 countries worldwide to study Chinese culture and receive Chinese education together with the local students. Here, she is extremely grateful to Tan Sri Dato Seri Tan Sri Tan Kok Ping, the Executive Advisor of the Board of Directors of Han Chiang High School, and the Chairman of the school, Mr. Wong Chi Hing, for their trust, recognition and willingness to give her the opportunity to promote the educational philosophy of Han Chiang High School.
She reveals that over the years, she deeply expresses her appreciation towards the overwhelming support and cooperation given by the Parent Teachers Association, the alumni association, all staff, parents, students and her family for their endless love and support. Finally, she thanked the conference for the encouragement and affirmation given to the administrative team of the school, helping her to keep on improving the school, and deeply planting the seed of education in Han Chiang High School that will continue to nurture and grow students into wonderful members of society.
